We fish mostly the Idaho side and the upper part of the Spokane in Washington, but it is a fun place to spend some time. Close to home and the warmest water around makes it a great option for a couple hours in the afternoon. Streamers on a sink tip or double nymph rigs will be the way to go unless you find some fish up on the warmer days. Swinging soft hackles in the flats can be productive when you find fish up, but that will be happening less now. The Spokane is a big river that is tough to wade, we have been finding a trout spey set-up makes fishing this river a lot more enjoyable.
