Garrett has been fortunate enough to have fished in many of our rivers, lakes and oceans in the Pacific Northwest yet still calls his home water, the North fork of the Coeur d’Alene, his favorite. At an early age Garrett was introduced to both fishing and hunting which later led to pursuing fly fishing and bird hunting in his spare time while living in Idaho, Montana, and Oregon. Garretts passion for guiding is rooted in his love for teaching people both new and old to the sport all the many attributes associated with fly fishing like ecology, entomology, and of course the science of fishing. In his spare time he enjoys fly tying and building custom fly rods in addition to traveling to distant locations where he can both fish and expand on another growing passion of his, photography.
