Mike Beard
Mike Beard has been with Northwest Outfitters since 2006 and an owner since 2010. This Idaho native has spent his life on the streams and rivers throughout the region, and he’s willing to share what he knows. Catch Mike’s River Reports on our website to find out what’s biting and where! When he’s not on the river you can find him helping customers at Northwest Outfitters with every facet of Fly Fishing. He routinely points people in the right direction, helps with rigging, casting instruction, fly selection, equipment, and everything in between. Mike’s goal is to help customers become more well rounded fishermen and has helped to make everyone around him better at he sport. Mike is one of the regions premier guides and regularly takes trips on the Coeur d’ Alene, Spokane, Clark Fork, Grand Ronde, and Snake Rivers. Mike is also the Head instructor of the Orvis fly fishing school in Coeur d’ Alene and teaches both the 101 and 201 classes throughout the summer which are both wonderful resources for beginner and intermediate anglers alike.
