The lakes are a great place to be this time of year. Pike, bass, crappie and even trout, depending on where you are fishing, can be active and very fun on a fly rod. Balanced leeches and small wooly buggers will get the job done for multiple species and are a great way to cover water. Let em sink and strip em back or suspend them under an indicator for a slower presentation, depending on the day and where you are fishing.
