The lower North Fork can be a fun winter fishery until it gets too cold or snowy to access the river. A bump in flows usually helps, but tandem nymph rigs and streamers can find nice fish this time of year. No need to get out too early and look for the slower water to start holding more fish but can be fun for a few hours in the afternoon.
