The Coeur d’Alene

    That was as good a June as we can remember and starting out pretty great for July as well.  The cool conditions are keeping the fish happy and the bugs out.  We should start transitioning into summer mode finally, but flows are much better to start July...

The St. Joe

Floating the lower below Avery has been the best, but there are some spots above Avery that have been fishing as well.  Nymphing and streamer fishing has been better this week with the cold fronts, but as it warms up and continue to drop it should really start hitting...

Spokane River

The upper stretches of the Spokane have been decent but have been a lot more bassy then expected with all the cold water this year.  A good place to spend a couple hours if you can't make it to the mountains.  Swinging streamers and caddis pupae or double nymph rigs...


Smallies, largies, crappie and pike are pretty fun on a fly rod.  This weather coming this weekend might slow things down, but we have been having pretty good lake reports coming in.  Leeches under an indicator or stripped along the drop and structure are finding bass...
